Stonehill Celebrates Completion of Record-Setting Campaign

Stonehill's Attaining the Summit Campaign came to a close in June, raising a record-setting $59.5 million and on Thursday, September 23, the College celebrated its success inside the Pettit Atrium of the Shields Science Center.

Campaign Exceeds Goal

Attaining the Summit, Stonehill's second major fundraising campaign, set out in July, 2004, to raise $55 million. It concluded with a bang in June 2010, raising a record-setting $59.5 million, more than doubling the $23.1 million raised in Stonehill's last campaign, Securing the Vision (1992-1997).

When I came to Stonehill in 2001, I was like most freshmen: anxious about leaving home for the first time. In fact, I might have been a little more nervous than most because I was coming from Oakland, California. Many people at Stonehill would ask me, "Why would you leave California to come to Massachusetts?" My answer was always very simple: "It is because of the money."
